PERENCANAAN KEMAMPUAN PENGGUNAAN LAHAN UNTUK KONSERVASI LAHAN "RECHARGE AREA" TELUK PRIGI KABUPATEN TRENGGALEK

The aim of this study was to determine the suitable class on Prigi watershed and planned the Prigi watershed area. This study used survey method; i.e a) photograph interpreting, the result was land use map, land farm map, and geology map and drainage pattern b) semi detail survey on the field c) data collecting; the data was soil profile, mini profile and soil baring d) data evalution ; and for measure erosion used USLE method. This study was conducted for 5 month (Pebruary '99 — Juni ' 99) on Prigi area (8°11' — 8°23' LS and 111°41' — 111°41' BT) Watulimo Trenggalek. The conclusion was (1) Prigi watershed was Inceptisols, the relief was vary from smooth — wavy, the recharge area has already pollute by human and there is no agroecosystem balance; because of on site and off site wasted (2) Land suitable classes of this area was consist of IV class — VIII (3) This area was suggesting as agroforestry area (4) It is needed to use biological conservation or mechanical conservation as alternatif method.3 Key Words : Land suitable, Conservation, Recharge Area
